United 737MAX9 Business Class

Well, humans welcome again, today I will be showing you what it’s like to ride on the safest aircraft in existence, the famous 737 MAX, I did this flight before the grounding, and I am proud to say I survived a flight on this plane without flying out the window!

Flight Information:

  • Date: October 7th 2023

  • Flight Number: UA1621 LAX-MCO

  • Aircraft: 737MAX9

  • Seat/Class: 1A in Business Class

  • Registration: N27515

  • Flight Time: 4hr 56min

So yeah let’s go! My journey on this warm October morning began at LAX Terminal 7, which is my new Favorite Terminal at this mess of an airport, anyways, If you need to check in, there is a very spacious and huge check-in area for United Premier Access customers, this includes Polaris travelers, and little kids like me flying to Orlando! After a very pleasant and super calm check-in experience with the kindest agent I have ever met at United, I was on my way through security, which is shockingly quick at T7, even without TSA precheck. Also, this was my first time flying United so I have to say these were some great first impressions

My first ever look at the incredible LAX Terminal 7

Once I was finished getting through security, I decided to make my way over to the gate to get some breakfast, This is where I found the Rolling Stone Cafe where I got one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had in my life. I also got a good look at the decor in the terminal. Although it may look bland, I did love that the ceilings were high and that there was plenty of seating.

Once I had demolished my sandwich it was finally time to board which was sadly being done through gate 75A, the one famous for having absolutely no views of the aircraft you would be flying on today. Or not maybe the plane already burst open so it’s gone!

Here we go again, the famous boarding shots!

So wow! Here we are, welcome to United 737MAX9 Business Class, my first impressions are amazing, the cabin is super wide and bright, and the seats look super comfy, with mine 1A being no different, I also decided to take a look at the seat while I still had the plane to myself. Overall the one word that comes to my mind when looking at my seat is, nothing. It has got to be one of the least interesting seats I have ever sat in, and that is because there is nothing here, like seat 26A on that Alaska Airlines Flight! Either way. I can’t complain there is tons of legroom, a super cool center console, and a very useful safety card staring at me.

After I had gotten settled, our very empty plane began to push from the gate, this was then followed by our flight attendant coming down the aisle with champagne and water, it was one of the first times in my life I wished I was 21 years over, anyways since I am super bland I would have chose the water anyway, but overall a super good first impression from United!

After taxing for a good 10 minutes it was finally time to takeoff. And I’d be lying if I said I didn’t pray before this! Anyways enough with the MAX jokes, It ended up being a super nice and smooth takeoff, I’m just glad no pannels came off 16 minutes in!

Our scary but pretty takeoff from runway 25R

After a nice and peaceful takeoff with no MCAS or panel malfunctions, we made it into the air safe and sound. This is when the inflight service began. It all started with a super warm and cozy hot towel, which was followed by some warm nuts and a drink service, the service then ended with our meals, the two options today were the Chicken Enchiladas and the weird Vegan Pasta. Since I am a full-out American I decided to pick the very tasty Enchiladas. It was overall an incredible meal and I also loved the super fun way the crew served it out, they greeted us all by name, like a French butler! This left a really good taste in my mouth service-wise for United. The Enchiladas were also served with a salad, bread, and cake, they were all very good as well.

After I ate my lunch, I decided to check out the Entertainment System United had to offer on today’s flight. Of course, my laptop can’t make up for a full IFE screen, but I appreciated that there were a lot of options and it took me no time to find a good series here. I also decided to take a look at the back of the MAX where I saw the infamous row 26, and the rest of the flight flew by like crazy from there, all I did was eat a can of Pringles and watch TV, it was a super comfortable seat and I had no trouble getting comfortable in here. Also, I appreciated that the FA kept coming by to refill drinks and provide snacks! It was really good service

The super relaxing rest of the flight to Orlando

After I watched a few shows and ate my Pringles, it was time to land, this is also when I saw an amazing view of the city on our approach, by the way, does anyone else think that that sky looks like god peeking through?

Here we are welcome to Orlando! I am so happy to finally be here and overall this was an AMAZING experience I loved the United experience so much and I won’t hesitate to fly with them again! I loved the MAX even though a door could have blown out, but I can’t complain because I still made it here safely. In the end, I’ll give United an 8/10 on this experience, yes it was great I just really wish there were entertainment screens and a bit more interesting seat features, it just felt a bit bland at times. This was a great flight though and I loved the crew so hats off to United! But to Boeing, I have one message! Stop putting profits over safety, this new grounding hadn’t even happened yet, but I still felt scared on this flight, just focus on safety! This was a great experience though and I won’t hesitate to fly United, but for Boeing, I’m on thin ice with you, one more incident and I’m done flying on your planes, so yeah that’s it from me today, I hope you enjoyed this review and I will see you all in the next one! Bye Humans
